Neonatal/Pediatric Aliquot Systems

Overview

Multiple-bag aliquot systems (Quad-Packs and more) are customer-designed to facilitate transfer of small volumes of blood for neonatal or pediatric transfusion.

Features and Benefits

• Reduces wastage of adult size blood units
• Use with sterile connection technology to provide a closed blood transfer system that maintains original primary unit outdating
• Limits donor exposure for neonates
• Red cell component aliquots may be administered to patient up to original primary unit outdate
• Platelet component aliquots must be administered to patient within 4 hours
• 150 mL bag shape allows full visibility and adhesion of ISBT label.
• Needle-less configurations eliminate accidental needle sticks
• Tubing is compatible with sterile connection technology
• Available in multiple bag configurations
• May be used in conjunction with neonatal/pediatric syringe sets for proper filtration and blood administration
